A hand-held magnetic locator that detects buried iron and steel objects such as property markers, valve boxes, manhole covers, well casings and steel drums. It senses the difference in the earth's magnetic field between two sensors and ignores non-ferrous metals like aluminium, brass and copper. Rugged magnetic locator with a 3-digit LCD showing signal strength and polarity, a choice of peak or null audio response and an analogue output for data logging.
