A hand-held magnetic locator that detects buried iron and steel objects such as property markers, valve boxes, manhole covers, well casings and steel drums. It senses the difference in the earth's magnetic field between two sensors and ignores non-ferrous metals like aluminium, brass and copper. Rugged stick-type magnetic locator in a metal housing with two rotary controls (on/off-sensitivity and volume) and a clear audio response.
